Customs in the limelight
Customs play a fundamental role in managing the flow of goods between the EU and China – both by protecting the safety and security of citizens and facilitating trade. What are the constraints imposed on the international supply chain? How can we make customs procedures supportive of legitimate trade while preventing dangerous or illicit goods from reaching consumers? What can European and Chinese customs do to eradicate trade in goods that violate intellectual property rights? These questions will be discussed at a high-level Conference gathering decision-makers from the EU and Chinese public administrations and businesses.
In addition to this high-level event, the public visiting the EU Pavilion may learn more about the modern roles of customs through a variety of video clips, a photo exhibition and posters.
